Compliance Requirements

For Manufacturers & Importers:

• Create and maintain Digital Product Passports
• Provide QR codes on products for DPP access
• Keep information up-to-date throughout product lifecycle
• Meet specific requirements for each product category

For Retailers & Distributors:

• Verify DPP availability before selling products
• Ensure QR codes are visible and functional
• Report non-compliant products to authorities

Penalties for Non-Compliance

• Market Ban: Products without valid DPPs cannot be sold in the EU
• Fines: Up to €100,000+ depending on severity and company size
• Product Recalls: Forced removal from market and destruction
• Customs Seizure: Non-compliant imports blocked at EU borders
